The Music Box

“Dear Diary”
He’s not there again. Why does he never make time for me, ever since mom died, he never did. He’s always busy, even to my Violin Recital, I won first place that time, and I even received Queen Elizabeth’s honorary medal. My Piano recital, I got also first price. On my archery and marksmanship training, no matter how many times I hit the centre, he’s never there... thus it never surprises me anymore. yesterday I got the Pulitzer prize for my novel “Stella Cadente”, but he’s at France... he didn’t even bothered to tell me, sometimes I wonder if he even worth my time...

“Mademoiselle?” her butler asks, he was patiently waiting by the door, he was a young man at his early twenty’s. She then smiled, “Oh Hillary... I’m Italian” she said as she kept her diary on the secret compartment of her desk, she then stood up and took her violin case with her violin, and then she took her headband; made of black lace and an ammunition belt of a machine gun with inert rounds. She was wearing black jean jacket and a white tank top, black short skirt and a boots.“oh I’m just teasing you... I remembered the opera you watched with me, Lily of the Valley by Honore de Balzac. Oh and the heroine is named Henriette or Henrietta, your name...” he said as he further opens the door for her to go out, she just replied with an ensnaring smile.

On the silent empty hallway, she was slowly walking towards the dining room. Her butler is always behind her if she ever needs anything. As she walks, her elegant long brunette hair brushes along the wind, her skirt was slowly flapping and her high heeled knee high boots were noising the hallway.

On the long rectangular table, she was eating alone as usual, even if she asks Hillary or her other servants, they were forbidden to eat with her, it has gotten for so long, she was used to it, but then she was sick of it. Even with her favourite food, she was still lonely.
On her courtyard, she was standing at the grass paved ground while holding her violin and it’s bow, in front of the wooden bench she rested her violin case. A low tree was shading her from the sunlight.

She was gracefully playing the violin; she played O Fortuna, then Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, Ode De Joy, and then her
award winning musical score: Ludwig Van Beethoven Symphony No.9 In C Minor.

After she stopped playing, she opened her eyes and rested the violin at her side. She then stared up, looking at the tree whose birds flown back to their nests, and then to the sky with its moving clouds.

She then closed her eyes and looked away. “Hillary... do you know the song, Scarborough Faire?” she asked, and then she went back to the bench. “it’s a classic...” he answered but he was confused of her.

“Tell her to find me an acre of land,
'tween the saltwater and the sea strand,
will you plough it with the lamb's horn,
and sow it all over with one pepper corn,
and then you shall be a true love of mine.

Ask him to reap it with a sickle of leather,
And gather it up with a rope made of heather,
For then you will be a true love of mine,
If you say that you can’t, then I shall reply,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, oh let me know,
That you will at least try.

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Remember me to one who lives there,
He she once was a true love of mine.
Tell him her to make me a cambric shirt,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Without a seam or needle work,
Then she'll be a true love of mine.
Tell her to wash it in yonder dry well
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Where water ne'er sprang, nor drop of rain fell
Then she'll be a true love of mine.
Tell her to dry it on yonder grey thorn
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
Which ne'er bore blossom since Adam was born
Then she'll be a true love of mine.
Then she'll be a true love of mine.
Then she'll be a true love of mine."

she recited.

“Why?” he asked, knowing that something is definitely wrong. She then looked at him back, with her cute face and violet eyes. “i achieved all of these... because I felt that love is something i have to earn from my father...” she said, and then she returned the violin. On her case, she revealed three guns, One silver .50 AE desert eagle with finger grooved handle, a Black 4-inch barrel Smith and Wesson Model 460 modified to hold 6 round, and a  FN P90 behind the two sidearm, it has metal high capacity magazine same colour as it’s body; Black.
“Why do you keep those?” he asked, he then took a little step back. “Recently I felt like... somebody was watching me... other than the servants... lately I felt like my own mansion is not safe anymore...”. “Miss Henrietta... I’ll protect you... even If I have to die for you...” he said as he showed a handgun under his vest.  But suddenly she grabbed her revolver with her right hand and then her other gun at her left, and then she pointed it at Hillary.

Her face was filled with fear, as if she was about to cry, but she kept a strong disposition. But then she couldn’t help it, she dropped the guns and hugged him tightly, and he hugged back after keeping his gun.

“I had a dream... the mansion was burning to the ground and scary people with guns were threatening us... “She said as she wept, he then wiped the tears of her face with his own handkerchief. “I never could rely on dad because he’s never here, I doubt that servants would even risk their lives... so I bought these, even with the powerful kickback, I can defend myself.” She said. “Henrietta... even if I have to die to keep you safe... I will” he said.

Back at her room, she was staring at her weapon collection, a mid 17th century shaped rapier with strong build blade, a metal recurve longbow, a .700 NE Bolt action magazine fed big game rifle. “The weapon I won at fencing, at archery, and at my marksmanship training and tournament... pity dad is not there to see it.” She said.

She then sat on her piano and then she started to play.  She played a she started with gentle tempo then robust high and mid pitched tones with some low tones but with she followed with a gentle slow song, her cute voice broke the silence.

[Still working on it...]

After a few hours on her room, silently enjoying herself, she went up the observatory; with her telescope and laptop.
Up on the top roof, she reached there by the observatory. After setting up, she accessed a program she built on her own and by her voice, she located things automatically and produced a high definition pictures with high magnification on the monitor.

“Virgo is beautiful tonight...” she said as she looks at the constellation of Virgo, it was unusually brighter tonight. She then turned to Pleiades, within the Taurus constellation. “breath taking...” she commented, but then she looked at the front gate, with her telescope and saw his father, he was being brought to his own home by his servants with the silver plated limousine.

“Oh I can’t wait to get home to her... Claes?” he asked himself, and one of his servants corrected him. “her name is Claes Henrietta... like your wife named her sir, though she requested to be called Henrietta”.

“Way back into love”

Down at the stairs, loyal servants came down and lined up and greeted him, but he just ran and ignored them as if he forgot their existence. In the middle of the staircase, he removed his tie and loosened his shirt and removed his coat. He fixed his hair a little bit and then rushed up.

“I won’t bother him anymore, like he would even recognize my presence” she said as she sat on her bed. She then she lied down.

“oh were is her room...” he said as he wandered around the mansion, he was completely lost, because he just ignores the direction given by the servants. “Sir, I believe its thata way...” said by Hillary, as he touches his master’s shoulder. “No Hillary I don’t have time...” he answered as he forcefully removed his arm off his shoulder. But then Hillary grabbed his arm and then pulled him to her room.

“I’ll have you fired... Hillary... oh we’re here...” he said, and then he lightened up, Hillary was gently bragging. Before he goes in, he fixed himself up and Hillary helped him, but as soon as he grabbed the handle, Hillary heard Henrietta mumbling, he knew something was wrong.

Suddenly, Hillary barged in with his handgun and shot the masked thug and killed him, he then helped her up. He then snatched the assault rifle and alarmed the guards by his phone, but then he knew that the security itself is behind this.
“He’s Macon...” she said as she identifies the body, she then took her rifle, submachine gun and her pistols. “dad!” she exclaimed as his father gave her an ambush of hug, “oh... I’m sorry that I’m not here” his father said as he hugged her harder. “not a good time dad...” she said as she shoved her father away.
“Where did you get those?” his father asked, he was confused. “It’s possible that our security guards were to rob us, as in they planned an inside job” she said, and then suddenly screams, gunshot, and loud crash was heard below.
Even her guns were suspended at her, she manages to be silent and move fast, Hillary was behind her. As he looks at his daughter, he was sad to know she was already proficient in using guns, he was sad he missed that moment.
Above the third floor they saw vans in front of their house, the door was crashed wide open, and their maids and other servants were surprisingly with the thugs. “so it’s just us...” she said as she pulls back the bolt of her P90. She then got up and jumped at the chandelier hanging at the ceiling. She then found the vertical flag pole hanging on halfway, extending side to side. “Henrietta... what are you doing!” exclaimed by her father. But then she clutched her gun and gently fell backwards. And then she extended her legs to hook herself at the pole and then she rendered herself upside down and gave them a surprise attack.

All of them were surprised, definitely because of her risky move, but even before they could attack back, she let go and forced herself upright and fell, and as soon as she hits the ground, she eliminated most.
“What’s happening, someone answer me!” shouted by a man by the radio of their immediate leader. But then she heard a loud crash above, and then she let go of her empty gun and switched to her sidearms, wielding both at the same time, revolver on her right, and her handgun at her left. “oh Hillary... please not be involved in this.
On her way, she encountered traitor, and she eliminated them immediately, as soon as she reaches the top, she reloaded, and as soon as she got up, she saw Hillary pointing his gun and about to shoot, but then she stopped him by shooting him.
She then ran towards but she was surprised to see their fat chef wielding a deadly machine gun and he was laughing. She then slid down and barraged the man, and then he tripped and fell from the window and to the ground.
“oh Hillary... I’m sorry” she said as she held him up. “it’s alright... you don’t know... anyway all but me turned, but how can you know for sure that I’m on your side... your father is at the observatory, go” he said, and then she ran to his father.
“alright, we have 9 servants and 11 security guards, I eliminated all servants and seven guards, eight counting the guy Hillary killed, so three left” she said to herself as she ran towards the observatory, but then on the way he saw his father unconscious and was carried by the last three guys downstairs, but then she assaulted them, his father fell on the floor, two armed men ended up dead but one got away.

After regaining consciousness, he stood up, but then he saw the last man tried to attack her daughter, so he pushed her away, her handguns were thrown, and his father was stabbed by a knife. She then pulled her large bore rifle and then shot the thug; he fell out the window and was impaled by a lamp post.

“Father!” she said as she crawled up and to her father. “I’m really sorry, I’m your father and I couldn’t do anything nor even be there for you...” said her father, “father... you’re going into shock...” she said, but then her father took a small gift from his coat lying at the ground, it was big as her palm. “you don’t have to give me anything...” she said as she took the gift, “remember when you asked for a music box with Beethoven’s symphony No.5 and others... it has interchangeable tunes, the musical scores you play by your violin... happy birthday” his father said, but then he passed away.
She then opened the box, and she saw a gold circular watch-like music box, she held it by the chains. She then closed his father’s eyes and cried.
